A need for Free HIV screening – Avoiding greater risk of HIV infection and AIDS – related deaths.
Adopting innovative ways to overcome disruptions of services caused by COVID-19.
On the 19th of December 2020, Katchoua Foundation (KF) together with partners contributed to HIV screening in the Mutengene market. Being on the frontline of HIV screening is our perfect way of giving back to the community. Making significant progress is a great idea since HIV faces additional challenges in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Carrying out free screening and meeting them in their comfort zones give them a chance to be screened out of their busy schedule. This screening right in the market place where people of all standards and trade gives even the less privileged who do not have transport nor money to visit a health facility the chance to be tested. Educating the masses on HIV/AIDs is a necessity.
A Campaign for HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care services will save lives.
This act is a call to focus on vulnerable groups who are already at risk and expand coverage to children and adolescents. We can all contribute to the effort to end AIDS and make the world a healthier place.
Not everyone knows the impact AIDS has in every community and every business. The best we can do to prevent this disease from spreading and taking more lives is to educate and create awareness. Knowledge is power. Every voice has an impact.
Prevention and treatment of HIV grow by raising our voices as one. When we come together, our communities are heard.
